What is Whitsuntide really?

My researches so far into the origin of the present festival currently called Whitsuntide has only revealed that it is so old that the true source is lost in the mists of antiquity.
Many sources also report that this is the traditional time for moving home and for beginning new contracts of employment but, so far, I have not been able to discover why this custom should be.

The following two quotations are taken from a Germanic forum http://www.wodanserben.de/ and offer two answers to the origin of the festival as well as its possible original name. I have not, so far, found any equivalent texts in English.

Whitsuntide is a church substitute for the germanic May Festival called Sigrblót. The name, “Whitsuntide” (originally, Pentecost), and the date - 50 days after Easter are not Germanic but the customs of this festival are all of pagan (Pagan simply means pre-Christian) origin. The Germanic May festival was not, of course, celebrated 50 days after Easter but on the second full moon following that festival. The christian definition of Whitsuntide, i.e. the pouring forth of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles has never been adopted by us (the germanic peoples of N. Europe). In point of fact, even many Christians are not aware of this.
In contrast, most of the pagan customs - the Maypole, games, fairs, dances, processions with oxen, bonfires and others - are common throughout the land.
The Whitsuntide festival is the result of a mixture of old israelite customs and christian teachings. In the beginning it was all about the offering of the fruits of the first, early harvest. Later it came to be called the “Week Festival” (Schawuot). It was only in the time following the Old Testament Times that this festival was fixed at 50 days after Passover.

Actually, these two are no so far apart from each other. A festival to celebrate the first harvest of the year passes, naturally, very well two moons after the Ester festival. (Ester: the Goddess of the new awakening of the Earth, i.e. Spring). Just why this was then seen as a good time to move house is less than clear to me. Has anyone any ideas or information about this?

Appropriately, I was able to purchase this weekend, for the first time this year, german new potatoes and, together with my Goddaughter, children and friends, was able to indulge myself with potatoes steamed in the skins and then rolled in butter. A salad of many freshly harvested constituents completed this gustatory delight.

The Priestesses of Avalon

In Glastonbury in Somerset, England there is a guest house at the foot of the Tor. In one of the rooms, there is one of the gateways to Avalon, the land which the Wikken priestesses, through changing the frequency, hid the temple and school, together with their knowledge, for the duration of the patriarchy.

The time of the patriarch is now over and the world now needs the Goddess knowledge once again.

(Wicked (originally “Wikk’t”) is a title of honour bestowed upon a scholar, an adept, a wise person experienced in the world and trusted to give good advice. The definition which you may find in your dictionary is papal black propaganda. The Papal Bull of 1484 shows why.)

Just a few days ago, my wife and I had the great honour to be given this room for three nights. An honour which I last enjoyed in 1998.

The presence of the priestesses through this gateway is now much stronger than it was at my last visit and much information and several presents were given to each of us.

Professor Bruce Lipton PhD

On the last day of May, we were able to spend several hours with Professor Bruce Lipton PhD, a world traveller just like myself.

As well as explaining much about his new book “The Honeymoon Effect” and his recent discoveries in releasing the human mind from the deep sleep needed to experience the age of patriarchy just ended he also insisted that I sign his copy of my new book “The Key to Luck”.

Empowerment Trainings

These two events (the Avalon Gate and Prof. Lipton) gave me new knowledge and insights which have opened new vistas in my work.

Based upon “The Key to Luck” and the work with the Harmony Headphone, the new knowledge and the presents from the Avalon priestesses, the focus of my work is changing towards empowerment. I.e. instead of leading you or teaching you to recognise the source of your problems and then teaching how to resolve them, I will seek to instil and to awaken in everyone the ability to do this themselves; precisely how to find the source of your troubles, to free yourself to resolve the problem and to find and to awaken your power to do so.

The first courses will be offered in Germany during July.
From August, they will also be available in England.
Later in the year it will also be possible to offer courses with simultaneous translation into Italian and Spanish.

If you feel called upon to organise an event, the following facilities are needed:
1) A quiet, comfortable room with seating.
2) Adequate car parking
3) Sufficient participants. Minimum 30, maximum 800.
In some cities, for example London, Zurich, Hamburg and Stockholm renting a room can be so expensive that the minimum number of participants must be increased to around 50 to 70.

Each course will last for one day from 10.00 to approx. 5.00 p.m.. Advanced teachings can be made available following the evening meal.
